PATEK PHILIPPE -

Founded by Antoni Patek, a Polish watchmaker, when he began manufacturing pocket watches in 1839. Patek began working with a French watchmaker, Adrien Philippe, who invented the keyless winding mechanism. Patek Philippe was established in 1851 and grew into one of the most well-known and respected watch brands. With many experimentations and perseverance Patek Philippe pioneered the chronograph, minute repeater, split-seconds hand and the perpetual calendar. Patek Philippe acquired the reputation as a watch company with expensive taste and Patek Philippe even provided watches for Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. For the 150th anniversary, Patek Philippe manufactured the Calibre 89, with 39 complications.
